Submission Guidelines

Submissions are open year-round. After a hiatus, we are now reading for Issue 7! You can expect to hear back from us within 6 weeks.

  • The Post Grad Journal only excepts works of poetry. We are open to any style but are especially drawn to narrative poems, prose poems, and hybrid works.

    Please only submit original, previously unpublished works. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere. Please wait to re-submit until you have received a response to your current submission.

    Submitting your work here makes it eligible to be published in our upcoming journal issue and featured on our social media accounts. All accepted work will be considered for award nominations such as Best of the Net, the Pushcart Prize, etc.

    If your work is accepted into The Post Grad Journal, you are granting us the non-exclusive right to publish your work online. The copyright will remain with you in all cases. If your work is subsequently published elsewhere, please credit The Post Grad Journal as the journal of first publication.

    Please submit 1-5 pieces. Each piece should be no longer than two pages in length.
